I received your Carbtune on 1 July 2010. We have a bit of a holdup
in the mail with the Soccer World Cup and what not.
Thank you for your prompt service. I used your product on my Moto
Guzzi Le Mans and I must say - your Carbtune is all that it is
cracked up to be - easy to set up and easy to use and clear
instructions. Balancing carbs had previously been a nightmare with
fluttering needles and stuff that go haywire. I shall certainly
recommend you product and your service.

Sir,
Just want to sing your praises re your product.
I purchased the above several years ago but had never used it until
recently when I balanced my son’s nt650 deuville Honda.
The drastic change that this procedure made to his motorbike was
amazing to say the least. The bike is pulling better from a start,
fuel economy is up and top end power and speed is also up.
Hoping to check my own pan st1100 shortly.

I just received my carbtune here in Grimes Iowa USA and just
thrilled it works perfect. I have three
inline four old Kawasaki KZ 750 s. I tuned two right up and they
have never run so good. They run so
smooth and pull hard I have never had them run like that. The last
one I could never get to run right
I have had the carbs off a hundred times could never get it to idle
and pull. It has no vacuum at
idle. The cam must be off one tooth. I will pull the top end off
tomarrow. I am so happy to have found
the problem, I will get it running right tomarrow.

Dear Carbtune,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you how great your
product is. It arrived this morning.
It only took me a few minutes to put together the dampers, hook it
up to my beloved 23 year old VMAX
and within 20 minutes she is roaring like the Lion she is!
I looked around for a “professional” mercury monometer (almost
$1000.00 cdn), and I’ve also attempted
the service manual technique of a single gauge matching each carb to
#1 (don’t try this, it’ll drive
you to drink). Your tool works wonderfully and is also very
reasonably priced.
To put it into perspective, local shops charge two labour hours to
perform this service. The average
shop in my area charges around $100.00 per labour hour. My bike
needs to be set up every season. So,
for an investment of about $125.00 cdn including the import
brokerage fee charged by Canada Post, I
have not only saved $75.00 this year, but $200.00 per year from now
on. Not a bad ROI!

I just pulled my colortune kit "A" from the mailbox. My 1982 Suzuki
GS850 is already running WAY
better. It totally took the guess work out of setting up my idle
screws. The packaging is clean, the
instruction booklet isn't just an instruction on the colortune, but
an in depth explanation of
carburators and combustion.

This is without doubt the best and easiest carb tuning device i have
used, once the device was set up
(5 minutes), the throttle bodies on the bike were then balanced in
less than 5 minutes.

I decided I had to have one of my own. I have used gauges, other
liquid filled systems and even a 4
column mercury filled manometer (long time ago!). This beats them

I managed to convince my daughters that for Xmas I would like one of
your Carbtune balance gauges to
tune my BMW R1100RT. They purchased for me the four column unit
(just in case I ever get a multi!)
which I used for the first time over the weekend just gone.
I was absolutely impressed with your product – it is a fine
instrument and I achieved the best set up
the bike has ever had!! I have owned the bike since new, in April
2000, and it has covered some
90,000 miles and has previously been set up by BMW during routine
services. I was somewhat surprised,
then, when the balance I achieved yielded a much sweeter running
machine than I’ve ever known it to be
before!
I have run BMW twins since 1978 – they are my preferred motorcycle,
but balancing the ‘pots’ has
always been something of a pain. Not with the Morgan Carbtune – the
result was truly spectacular and
I would recommend your product to anybody both on function,
performance and price. My only regret is
that I never bought one before!!!
So, many thanks for making my life easier, and my motorcycling more

I've used the carbtune today for the first time (yes, also my first
time)
It was pretty straight forward, but nonetheless the improvment is
gigantic.
The bike was last adjusted in june 2009 by an official honda dealer,
and now, after 7000Km it seems that the adjustement was all messed
up.
After adjusting the bike could run as low as 800 rpm (1050 is
normal)
without dying! (altough at that speed the oil pump could not keep
up).
Today I am even more convinced that the carbtune is a great tool!

Checked the mail this morning (Tuesday) to find my carbtune had
arrived. I unpacked it and after
reviewing the instructions, I installed the damper tubes and tried
it out on my 03 Bonneville. Turned
out the carbs weren't too far out, but the process was quick and
easy with the most difficult part was
getting a screwdriver on the adjustment screw! I am anxious to try
it out on my 68 Triumph T100R next.

I received my order on Saturday September 26.

I used the Carbtune to adjust the carburetors on my 1999 Yamaha Vmax
and it worked very well.
The bike now idles and runs much better.
This is definitely a quality instrument and I would recommend it to

multi carbureted motorcycles.

Sean,..... , I did get to use my Carbtune. Using it was definitely a
switch from the mercury synchronizer that I had used until now. It
was so much quicker due to the much more stable readings. With the
mercury synchronizer I really had to guess as to what the reading
for each cylinder was. My bike is a Honda Valkryie with the 1500 F6
engine. It has never ran better than it does now. Thanks for one
very accruate tool.

I received the CT Pro and 90 screwdriver. This was my first sync on
the Suzuki. Just wanted to let you know that both tools worked great
for the Suzuki. CT Pro worked great, following your instructions wrt
restrictor made the reading very steady. And, I would recommend the
90 screwdriver as it does make the job much easier. Thanks for the

The process was as easy as advertised and the bike is running better
than ever. The hardest part was getting the vacuum lines pulled off
the throttle bodies (stuck on like they were glued). After that, it
took about 10 minutes to get them sync'd. The Carbtune tool worked
flawlessly. Thanks for making such a great product. It couldn't have
been any easier. I'm glad I opted for the custom bag as well. The
tool and hoses fit in very nicely.

Hi Sean,
I finally got to use the carbtune this
weekend, as the weather was great.
The whole job on my 82 Yamaha XZ550
only took half an hour, and the bike
starts, idles, accelerates, runs, and
even sounds better than it ever has. I
thought some of the rave comments must
have been exaggerated, but no, this is
without doubt the best sync tool I’ve
ever used. I’ve used dial gauges, and
plastic pipes with fluid in the past,
even taken it to a factory trained
mechanic and it has never run as well
as this.
The tool itself appears to be a good
quality plastic that should last for
years, the hoses are flexible, and easy
to push fit, and best of all the
fluctuations are minimal enough to get
good accurate balancing. It’s easy
enough to do before every major trip
without thinking twice about it.
This is a piece of must-have kit for
ever motorcyclist. I am very glad I
spent the extra on a 4 gauge one, so I
don’t have to worry about ordering
another if I get a 4 cylinder bike. I
also recommend the case to anyone
buying.

Never realized that almost barely

Just like to let You know how impressed
I am regarding quick delivery of my
Carbtune.
Balanced the carbs on my two bikes last
evening,ZX11 and LTD 550. Must say it
was very easy,never doing it before.
Ended up all within 1cm, but was'nt too
bad before either. But offcourse,I have
only Your instrument to prove it is
correct now,but they sounds right.
Anyway,having two bikes done,means
the purchase have allready paid off.
Pretty sure I would have to pay at
least NOK 500 (£50) each bike for a
similar job on a workshop. + I learnt
something new.

Thanks for the prompt delivery, which
was seven days from the date of my
order, to when I had the Carbtune
sitting on my desk at work (here in
Wellington New Zealand). That's
extremely good delivery, considering we
are as far away from you as you can
possibly get on this planet. I'm also
very impressed by the quality of the
product, pouch and instructions; it was
a "piece of cake" to set up and to
connect to my 1991 V75 Targa Moto
Guzzi.
I was surprised how sensitive my bike’s
carb settings were and how far out the
idle and initial throttle opening
settings were. In the past, I had been
a “quarter turn” type of tune up guy,
but with the Carbtune fitted, it showed
that an eighth to sixteenth turn of the
idle screws and cable length adjusters
could make all the difference.
I had previously thought that I had the
bike running pretty well, and that the
"thump" below 3500-4000 RPM was normal
for a Guzzi – the bike has never liked
round town running and was always
happiest on the open road, above 4000
RPM.
The bike is now running heaps smoother
and will happily pull back to 2000 RPM
(if I want), and the wee annoying flat
spot just on “take-off” has gone too;
the lovely exhaust note is now even
nicer and I’ve got a feeling the
gearbox even seems quieter. This sounds
silly, but it even "smells" better (the
"running rich" smell has gone - when
you pull up at the lights).

Hi,
I used the Carbtune last weekend to
balance the twin Dellorto DHLAs on the
crossflow engine in the Fisher Fury kit
car I'm building. The car hasn't been
on the road yet, & the carbs have an
unknown history so the engine was
EXTREMELY difficult to start & very
lumpy at idle. After balancing, it now
starts straight away on the choke &
idles smoothly. The carbs are some way
off being set-up properly, but now it's
running reliably I can make the other
adjustments it needs.
Because it's now drivable, the Carbtune
has already paid for itself as I won't
need to hire a trailer to take it to a
rolling road for the final jetting
set-up.

Just wanted to let you know how much I
enjoy getting a product that I feel is
well worth the price charged. The
CarbTune performs as promised & works
flawlessly. I recently attended the
1ST Annual Steve Saunders GoldWing
Motorcycle Rally in Calhoun. GA & took
the Carbtune with me to show to other
owners & to let the Carbtune works it’s
“magic” on whoever wanted. I hooked up
to 12 GL1100 & GL1200’s & synched 10 of
them (2 were so close I felt it would
be foolish to adjust them). Alll who
had the adjustments done were amazed at
how easily the adjustments were made &
how easy it was to read the levels. I
know of at least one individual who
said a Carbtune would be in his toolbox
very soon. If I may, one
recommendation/change? If 90 degree
adapters were available then those with
factory crash bars could do adjustments
without having to remove them. Thanks

Thanks for sending the carbtune.
Thought I would report that it is easy
to use and works very well. I have a
bevel-drive 750 Ducati Sport and have
always tuned the carbs by taking a
spark plug out and tuning the idle
mixture on the other carb and then
trying to balance the two carbs after
both have had the mixture set. This
worked after a fashion, but I have to
say that the carbtune is far better.
Evidently one of the carbs was far too
rich – the other was roughly correct.
And when I came to balance them and get
them opening together the carbtune made
a big difference. The idle is far
steadier, it will idle at lower revs,
the pick-up from idle is much smoother,
and throttle response is noticeably
sharper. As I suspected I should have
done this many years ago.
Happy to use this for endorsement
purposes if you wish – I notice that

Hi Sean, well It arrived today at 12:00
PM in good shape, did the queen wrap
this package it looks and smells
royalty. The product looks great, the
first thing I did was strip the bike
down for tuning and wormed her up, took
it for a short ride and then started to
tune her. I checked the sync with the
new carbtune pro very impressive I must
say and was off only a little was not
bad so I reset them and that was very
ease and the started on the colortune,
you were right I only needed one plug
two is a pain. first time around I
burned all my fingers, so Iv learned
to leave off the periscope because it
was easier to look right down on the
plug.
Just like the instructions said. I
started with the master carb I tuned
the fuel mix rich which was yellow then
back towards lean witch was Bunsen blue
I very carefully continued till the
flicker of yellow disappeared. did the
same to the other three, I had one
problem I had to use electrical tap and
tap the joint were the lead attaches to
the plug to stop the arcing, and also I
found in my tool cheat a plumbers
faucet wrench little over six inches
and 16 mm full length which was great
installing as well as removal and then
went back and reset the sync and was
done, that's it. Tomorrow I will take
it for a test ride, just running it at
idle and then opening the throttle it
has a smooth response. This is very
good. you know when I pulled the spark
plugs out to do the colortune. The
color on the plugs were like a gray
white all four not bad by ear I must
say. But in 5th gear it would lag when
you opened the throttle. So we will see
tomorrow how we did.
All I can say is were in the hell have
you been for the last twenty years,
this was to ease. One hell of a
produced I must say. Order was sent on
Oct/15/08 twelve fifteen pm and
received (Florida) on Oct/20/08 ten
o'clock am.

Rebuilt the carbs on a gl1000. Then
synchronized with a mercury setup.
We had a tough time with the mercury
setup, could not get all four carbs in
line. We used the carbtune and WOW what

Like you asked, I'm letting you know that I received my Carbtune Pro
today, 8/12, just 8 days after I ordered it. I live in Colchester,
Connecticut USA, so I would consider the shipping to be very timely,
especially considering it often takes longer to get MC parts and
tools within the states... It arrived in perfect condition and I
immediately put it together and sync'd the carbs on my Vmax, which
is a ten minute job. I bought it to replace a mercury type manometer
which cracked during the winter--should have gone with yours from
the beginning, but you know what they say about hindsight.

What an excellent piece of kit Carbtune is. I have recently bought a
1981 Honda CB900F which has done 70k miles and was distinctly
unhappy. Having read the feedback on your site I decided to invest
in a kit. After spending half an hour on a Sunday morning watching
the stainless rods move up and down the tubes, I can't believe the
difference in the bike
Previously it was a rough, growly, obnoxious old lump. But now, with
carb No 3 having been reined back from the outer limits it powers on
like a turbine. Smooth, responsive and together.

Hi Sean,
I also just wanted to let you know that your product works
flawlessly. I synched my carbs with it yesterday and was extremely
impressed with the quality of the tool. It is extremely sensitive
without being unreadable (the rods react to tiny changes in vacuum,
but they are well damped and easy to read while pulsating). The
large diameter of the rods also contributes to the tools excellent
readability. I'm very happy with it!

Hi Sean,
Finally got some weather decent enough to get my bike out (1973 BMW
R75/5) and get a few miles on it before checking the carb tuning.
Weather on the Canadian east coast can be quite chilly up until the
middle of June, or beyond.
Wanted to let you know that the Carbtune worked great. I set the
carbs up last fall using some gauges that an air mechanic neighbour
had, but was never fully satisfied with them as I couldn't get them
even (I tend to be a perfectionist). I had rebuilt the Bing CV carbs
and redone the heads, cylinder barrels and new rings last summer, so
perhaps the compression was a bit better after a few hundred more
miles. On setting up the Carbtune I had about 16cmHg in the left and
about 12 in the right. After doing my thing with the idle speed
adjust and idle air/fuel mixture screws for both carbs, they nicely
leveled out at 14cmHg. Interestingly, when they levelled out, the
pulsations in the tubes smoothed out also. Still there but less. To
be expected, I guess. I wasn't looking for any specific number as
long as the two were even, so this worked out quite well.
Took the bike for a highway run and it felt great. Probably better
than it ever has. Pulled the plugs when I got home and the colour
was excellent, that nice tan brown shade that we want. So, not
running too rich or too lean and nicely in the groove. I'll run it
for a while and check it again later in the summer (if it ever gets
here :-) ).
Anyway, I wanted to drop you a line to let you know I am happy with
the product. People are quick enough to complain when they're not
happy with a product but never really seem to say anything when they
are. Thought I'd let you know.

Hi to all at carbtune,
Just bought a 4 cylinder carbtune pro, I have always been dubious
about miracle cures and claims but I have to take my hat off to you.
I have a 1985 450 Honda rebel (USA import) that has always been a
pig to start and ran lumpy,
Carbs have been stripped and cleaned with new jets and the bike
still ran lumpy, took to a reputable Honda dealer who supposedly set
carbs up.
Bike still ran like a bag of nails, so decided to bite the bullet
and do it myself. I had seen recommendations on other bike sites
And looked you up, Boy am i glad I did, Bought the carbtune and
followed the instructions warmed up the bike and fitted 2 of the
pipes started up the bike , What a surprise 22 on one cylinder and
34 on the other (so much for Honda dealers ), Adjusted the balancing
screw and within 10 minutes had carbs balanced at 24 on both
cylinders, I had to reduce tickover and now the bike starts first
stab of the starter and sits idling away no problem, It is smoother
all the way through the rev range,
Have sorted out 7 other bikes for friends and club members (2 and 4
cylinder) and all report smoother running and even better fuel
economy,
Congratulations on a superb product, as they say “It does exactly
what it says on the tin.”

Hi, Carbtune arrived safely yesterday. So a day for delivery, not
bad. (UK)
It took me longer to do the basic assembly than it did to balance
the carbs! Worked superbly on my old XV1000. Despite it being a twin
I still brought the 4 column version, makes more sense for a long
term investment.
I was always a little concerned when working on the XV since it has
to be sychronised at 1000rpm and 3000rpm and has open exhaust pipes,
its hard not to disturb the neighbours! In all honesty once the tank
was lifted to access the adjustment screw it took just seconds to
balance both carbs at both settings. Its surprising how accurate the
gauges are,just touching the screw moved the indicator by one minor
graduation.
Unlike my old dial gauges there was very little fluttering from the
rods, despite being attached to the handlebars of a big V twin and
even when slowly opening the throttle.
So thanks for the great service and for answering my questions, only
problem now is working out what to do with it for the next few
months! BTW I would advise anyone who asks to buy the case, not sure
why I didn't but it seems to make sense now that it lying around my
garage.

Hi, I received my Carbtune Friday (11 April), thanks for the quick
delivery! Used it to set the idle and sync on my Commando (2 ea Amal
Concentric MK1). Worked great and after I got the "off idle" sync
perfect the throttle
response was better then ever before, the rear of the bike "sits"
nicely blipping the throttle !!! Never had this great throttle
response before :)

Hello Sean.
Wanted to let you know that last week I finally got a chance to use
the Carbtune Pro on my 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300.
Set-up only took me about 15 minutes to read the instructions and
cut the tubing to the recommended lengths and have it ready to go.
The tie strap works great for hanging it from the handlebars.
I was able to connect the hoses directly to the throttle bodies
since no adaptors were required. Once I turned on the bike it only
was a matter of minutes before I had the adjustments made to specs.
This is due to the ease of reading the gauge and the minor
fluctuations in the tubes due to the excellent damping.
The bike was running really well so I did not expect the sync to be
out of spec, but it was out quite a bit actually.
Now the throttle response is even smoother, quicker, and faster than
before I did the sync. I haven't had a chance to go on a long ride
to check the gas mileage difference yet, but hope to tomorrow.
I am very impressed with the gauge. I would recommend it to anyone.

Synced the carbs today on my 05 FZ1 Yamaha. The carbtune worked
great with hardly any fluctuation of the rods. It took a little
while, and I went back over all the screws two or three times, but
the bike runs better than it ever has now. It has always required
for the throttle to be opened slightly to get it to start but now it
starts with a touch of the button without any throttle and I can't
find the little buzz that I felt in the tank around 4000 rpm's. You
have made a wonderfull tool!

I have to admit that your system is by far the easiest and most

carb tuning system I have EVER used. I've tried mercury gauges which

just plain rubbish, I've also tried several different brands of

gauges which were difficult to use accurately because the gauges
themselves
were not identically calibrated and defied all attempts to calibrate
accurately.
Your Carbtune system works straight out of the box, it is VERY easy

Just took the 2000 Honda Varadero for a ride and the vibration that

Dear Mr. Morgan, thank you for the prompt attention to my recent
order for a Carbtune carburetor vacuum gauge set. The package
arrived (in New Zealand) within a week of ordering and following
your instructions I set the unit up with the restrictors as
supplied. A straight forward process. The carry case is a worthwhile
investment to keep the kit together and keep dust and contamination
away when the device is not in use.
I used the Carbtune for the first time today on my Triumph T 150 V
and the initial run confirmed variations in the manifold vacuum
readings. With the necessary adjustments made and equalised readings
obtained, a road test confirmed a much smoother running triple at
road speed with a clean transition off small throttle openings.
Likewise the cutoff during deceleration is now cleaner with no
obvious over run. A great product, easy to use and well engineered.
The one regret is that I did not purchase one a long time ago!

Hi,
For your information, I received the Carbtune Pro last Tuesday 18th
September. I must say how pleased I am with this instrument. My 1998
Kawasaki GPZ1100 has been laid up in the garage most of this summer,
this is after I had it serviced by a local bike dealer. Since then
it has been running extremely badly, frequently stalling at most
junctions and erratic revs at low throttle, I actually gave up
riding it until I saw your advert and decided to have a go at tuning
it myself.
I am far from what one would call a bike mechanic and to be honest
dreaded the though of using this tool, but after studying the manual
for half an hour I took the plunge and got stuck in, the carbs were
all well out of balance and with this instrument I had them all
synchronised with 10 minutes, the process worked a dream and was
simplicity itself to use. The bike is now back on the road and
simply purrs on tickover, the bike is again a dream to ride, many
thanks.
If a novice like myself can use this tool without problem then I am
sure anybody else could do the same. In future I intend to do my own
servicing.

September 2007, I have balanced the carbs on my 1989 VFR 750 over

Hello, I bought your Carbtune a while back but just got around to
using it on my 2006 Yamaha FJR 1300. Your product is great. First I
didn't need the adaptors on my Yamaha - the hoses just fit right on
to the stubs. My bike was not much out of synch but, because the
steel tubes on the Carbtune are so steady it was very easy to
perform even minor adjustments. When finished all four cylinders
were perfectly in synch. Total time including prep was less than 30
minutes. Last time I used the Motion Pro mercury based tuner. The
mercury is much less stable in the tubes and I could not get nearly
as close as with the Carbtune.
I will be using it on my 06 FJR, my wife's 05 FJR and my 03 Yamaha
FZ1. Congratulations on a fine product that performs as advertised.
It cost me less than one synch job at the dealer to buy your
product.

June 07. (I live in the "Thumb" of Michigan, USA.)
I can't say enough good things about your Carbtune; I am very
pleased. It was easy to set up and within 20 minutes out of the box
I had it hooked up to my motorcycle and it performed flawlessly.
I recently acquired a previously owned 1998 Yamaha Vmax that came
with carburetor problems. Carbtune indicated that carburetor number
two (master carb – front left) had no vacuum at all. Carb number
four (front right) was very high, almost off the chart. Carburetor
numbers one (rear left) and number three (rear right) were somewhere
in the middle. When I first saw that I felt that something must be
wrong with the Carbtune. Well, number two carb wasn't showing
anything and number four was almost off the chart; what else was I
to think. It couldn't be the motorcycle; how could it run like that.
Well it did run somehow but I knew it wasn't running according to
its design parameters.
I must admit that at first I didn't think that the four Vmax
carburetors could ever be brought into alignment. I am happy to
report that Carbtune helped make it possible for me to accomplish
the task! All four carburetors are within less than two cm of hg. It
is a great product, a delight to use and does perform as advertised.
My Vmax doesn't just purr like a kitten now; it ROARS like a lion.

Just a note to let you know Morgan that I received the Carbtune on
Monday, and synchronized the carbs on my vmax today. Excellent piece
of kit, extremely easy to use, all 3 carbs were out of sync with the
master carb, after a few simple turns of the screw driver all were
in sync with the master carb. Total time less than 15 minutes from
start to finish. Well worth the money and more!

I just wanted to tell you I'm really pleased with the Carbtune Pro.
It came in only 5 days and it worked beautifully!! It took me about
3 hours to get my bike apart to the point where I could actually
begin the
throttle body balancing, but the process only took 10 minutes!! The
bike (ST1300) idles like it should, and has smoother throttle
response at low rpm's and actually a decrease in engine temps!! The
only downside is now all my biker friends want me to adjust their

I just finished sync the carbs on the 94 V Max, the bike was in the
dealership for carb cleaning and sync, a few weeks ago but it didn't
seem right somehow, but ran very good, it turns out 1 and 2 carbs
were dead on and 3 and 4 were dead on but 3 and 4 were NOT in sync
with 1 and 2 like ..
1 and 3/4 of a inch or so , I think the mechanic just had a two
column meter instead of a four or just skipped the last step in the
adjustments. The Carbtune Pro was just perfect and the fluctuations
were very little it could not have performed better, a great tool I
am more than happy with it and everything involved getting it. Your
company is the real deal !, a role model for other companies.

The Carbtune Pro works great. Set up was easy, synchronization was
easy and the guage was dead on. Great instructions, great design.
Shipping was just as you described. Took about 9 days to recv in the
USA .. but well worth the wait. My 2005 Max has never run better or
more smooth. I will really enjoy riding this summer. Thanks for

Just letting you know that I received my Carbtune Pro yesterday.
Only 5 days total to get it here, which is awesome! I already got my
GS1000 carbs syched up in 30 minutes. Your product works so much
better than those mercury sticks. I was borrowing a friends mercury
unit, but
after a bunch of mercury got sucked through my engine, that was the
last straw. They are way too dangerous. I like the compactness and
quality of the Carbtune. The rubber hose setup is much better than
the cheap vinyl tubing on other units. It doesn't melt and kink up
near
the hot engine, which is what caused my before mentioned mercury

Thanks a tonne for your great gesture! I have recently used the unit
to balance my Rotax 9
series Aviation Engine Carbies and it was designed for this!!! The
Rotax 9 series has small
nipples under the carb body at the inlet manifold next to the idle
mixture screw that the tubes
fit perfectly onto. Once fitted remove the balancing tube between
each of the manifolds and lock
with Blue Tack or similar and bingo! The balancing takes a couple of
minutes......I have also
plugged the Carbtune with the aviators around me and will be posting
at our forums as I think
that it was custom made for our engines!!! It has worked perfectly
and I have experienced
exceptional power increase on climb out. Postage is cheap and
delivery times are great.

Hi Sean, just to let you know that the Carbtune worked a treat on my
Lotus +2S. After drilling
and tapping a 5mm hole for each cylinder in the inlet ducts, I set
up the Webers in less than
half an hour. The engine had previously been set up by ear and the
measurements from the Carbtune
showed how far out the carbs were using this method. Very impressed
with the complete nstrument.

Just wanted to thank you for an excellent addition to my toolkit.
I’ve used a set of dial vacuum
gauges for ten years to balance carbs on my GS550 Suzuki, then on my
current CBR1000F Honda. I
balanced the Honda’s carbs only a week before my wife bought me a
Carbtune as a present. I’d seen
your site before, and have to own up to cribbing your idea of
putting restrictors in the tubes to
aid damping, as wandering needles had always been a problem. The
restrictors did help, and I got
the carbs balanced closer than I’d been able to manage before. Then
last weekend I tried my new
Carbtune, and found that despite my confidence in the previous job,
two carbs were actually a
hole graduation (2cm Hg) out from the fixed carb’s setting – Not
much according to your
instructions, but unfortunately they differed in opposite
directions! A few minutes later I had
them all easily and equally balanced. I found it best to adjust with
the revs at between 1200 and
1500 - there was barely any flutter in the gauge at that point, just
enough to make it clear
that it was working properly.
Job done, and the difference on the road is very clear, even on a
naturally smooth old beast like
the Honda. Mid range is noticeably better, and so is fuel
consumption. To put some stats on that,
I have since duplicated a quick-ish 120 mile ride I’d did a few
weeks earlier, and got over 47mpg
compared with the 42 I’d got before. Think that proves something has
happened. Using the Carbtune
was easy, and it worked brilliantly. Can’t ask any more than that.
Excellent to find something
that actually delivers what it advertises, and I have to say it is
very well made. I look forward
to using my Carbtune for many years. It is hard to be a repeat
customer for you when you make
something so well it will last for years, but I will try!

Subject: Tuning up the Rotax 912 in my Pulsar
I was surprised when the Carbtune arrived yesterday, only 7 days after
ordering. (Sent 7th Aug arrived 12th Aug, New Zealand)
There is a standard mechanical process for setting up the carb
synchronisation on the Rotax 912 engine, but having done it a number of
times I was still unable to get the engine operating smoothly from idle
through mid range. I also had a healthy disregard for the advertising
claims of some of these new fangled sync devices.
Well, I am a convert. The Carbtune II was easy to connect up,
after adding a couple of short lengths of tubing to match the manifold
balance tube fittings. I was surprised at the readings. Well off at
idle, and even worse through mid throttle settings.
It took only a few iterations to get the idle balance and idle speed
spot on, and a couple more quick adjustments of the cable tensioner to
get the mid range right. The idle screw adjustment required was only
about 1/8 of a turn, and the cable fitting less than one full turn, but
the improvement was immediately obvious. I'm very happy with the
result, and agreeably surprised how much smoother the engine is.
A great product. It should be part of every Rotax owners' kit.

Carbtune arrived A-OK here in NZ in 8 days from ordering, so the
processes really work your end - bravo!
Also, having now used it on the K1100RS here, I can report it's the
tool
for sorting out the throttle body sync on the Motronic EFI system...
both the bleed screws **and** the "dreaded" butterfly sync setscrews
(that BMW/Bosch say you're never supposed to touch on pain of buying a
whole new set of throttle bodies)... Since mine had already been
"touched" sometime in the past, the CarbTune was set onto that task
(idle & open throttle sync) and has got the K11 back to turbine
smoothness & power at all revs, opening or closing throttle.
Damping was
OK, even at 1000rpm, and readings remained around 1/3rd of scale, so no
problems with operation; haven't even opened the adaptors, since the
vacuum take-offs fit the 5mm hose as-is.
Surprisingly, I think it's also quietened the gearbox clatter down too
-
maybe the K-series design of a light clutch basket being the only
flywheel mass leaves it open to passing any per-cylinder torque
imbalances at low revs straight through to the gearbox (and at
175000kms
my gearbox is loose enough already!!).
Again, thanks for the prompt service with an excellent tool... It's
already paid for itself about 10 times over - literally - by sorting
out
the butterfly mis-syncing. It's definitely a keeper, like my Norbar
torque wrench (15yrs now).

Thank you for a wonderful product. How often does one buy a
product that performs exactly as advertised? The Carbtune II
performs perfectly. I bought a 99 Honda Magna one year ago, my
first motorcycle since 1979 (my how things have changed, the mirrors
are more than just a legal regulation, one can actually see things
through them!). I realized my carbs needed attention and I really
wanted to be able bring my little hotrod up to snuff myself. I
went on-line and studied up on the gauges available. Analog
gauges need periodic calibration and column gauges require a store of
mercury to fill / replenish as needed, both situations I wanted to
avoid. Then I found the Carbtune II. After studying the
mechanism I realized that this was the tool for me. I just used
the Carbtune II yesterday, July 14, and I cannot express enough the
satisfaction in performing this task for the first time myself and at
the same time achieving such good results on my first attempt is indeed
a credit to your product which of course includes the adaptors and
instructions that come with the Carbtune II. My bike starts
easier, idles better, has more low end torque from idle and even runs
smoother at speed (The Honda v4 is inherently very smooth anyway
but to feel the motor actually improve is amazing). I intend to
buy your carb adjusting tool before my next carb sync so as make the
job go quicker (1/4 inch extensions with a universal and 7mm socket
work but not well) and (of course a Carbtune II ball cap if available).

Hello again, I received my Carbtune on June 1 for an order that was
placed on May 24. This is extremely good service and the shipping
time was 8 days, quicker than items I have received from the US.
I live in Canada. I have already used the Carbtune and it works
wonderfully. My bike is 20 years old and this is the first time
it has been tuned up at 40,000 KMS. The carbs were obviously out
of sync, which I now know, and the engine was running rough at idle
with a loping hiccup. It now idles smoothly and runs like the
day I rode it off the showroom floor. It is a 1986 Yamaha Fazer

Hello, I received my order a while back and just in time to synchronize
the carburetors on my 05 Suzuki GSF1200 after a carburetor kit
installation which included an intake and exhaust change as well. I
almost never send this kind of e-mail as most products seem to work
marginally well and others are sometimes ineffective. In all my 35
years of riding 4 cylinder motorcycles I never used a product for
synchronizing carburetors that worked as well and as easily as the
Carbtune. Nothing I have tried works better and simpler, the Cartune is

...........The Carbtune is far superior to the gauges I've used for
years. The set up is extremely quick to install and set up. From riding
my '93 Daytona for a warm up to having the tank remotely connected, and
the Carbtune connected, 10 minutes had passed. The engine still warm
and ready to tune. The method of damping is so simple, but very
effective. When damped carefully,the slightest variations were easily
detectable, making balancing very accurate. Then the ColourTune plugs
are installed ready to set the mixtures.
After resetting the mixtures on the air screw and a change in needle
position the Carbtune was again used for final fine adjusting.
The test ride revealed a new machine. Beautifully smooth off idle
throttle and very responsive throttle. The exhaust note was much
crisper and with smoother tone.
After 20 plus years of tuning by 'ear', I will never again set mixture
ratio screws without a colourtune plug.
After setting with the Colourtune plugs, I reinstalled the normal
plugs, wound in all 3 mixture screws without counting the turns. I then
set them all to 2 1/2 turns out. Restarted the bike,setting each
cylinder with all 3 cylinders firing, then finally checked the setting
with only one cylinder running at a time.
I then reinstalled the Colourtune plugs and checked the flame colours.
I was close on 2 carbs, and almost a 1/4 turn rich on the other.
While doing these adjustments, I was using the 90 degree screwdriver I
ordered from you. This is an accurately,well made,keenly priced piece
of tuning equipment which has earned its place in my 'special tools'
cabinet.

I purchased a Morgan Carbtune II from you a few months ago and finally
used it for the first time today on my 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300. You
sir have indeed built a better mouse trap!
The Carbtune II worked beautifully. The toughest part of the
entire process was removing the Yamaha securing clips on the rubber
caps on the brass attachment points on my bike. Once that was done it
was smooth sailing. I labeled each of the Carbtune II hoses and
the Carbtune II gauge to avoid any confusion during the adjustment
process. Your case is also excellent and does a nice job of both
organizing and protecting the Carbtune II.
I've attached some before and after photos to show you what I found
prior to the adjustment and how close I was able to get the final
adjustment using your Carbtune II. My bike has only 2,400 miles
on it, and you can see by my photos just how far out of adjustment I
found it. I suspect it was never "fine-tuned" prior to delivery.

I received the Carbtune II kit in the mail today!!!
To give you a bit of history about why I bought this Carbtune II
kit... Just last year I bought a Mxxxxx Pxx carb sync tool to
synchronize the throttle bodies on my 2005 Honda VFR, but last week
while performing a Spring-Time tune-up I noticed the tool had an
internal vacuum leak where one of the plastic tubes mounts into the
base of the Mxxxxx Pxx unit. I was pretty mad because I had spent
about $90.00 for it, but I wasn't about to repeat history and that is
why I instead bought a Carbtune II kit.
I'm sure you already know that your product is far superior than the
Mxxxxx Pxx kit, and when I hooked it up to my motorcycle this evening I
was surprised to find that my throttle bodies were still slightly out
of sync even though I had synchronized them six months ago using the
Mxxxxx Pxx kit. Now they are perfectly synced (and I mean
perfectly even across all four bars), and I can honestly feel a
significant difference in the throttle response--the response is a lot
more crisp after using the Carbtune II. At any rate, I'm sure you
already know that the Carbtune is the best carb tuning product, but I
wanted you to know I'm definitely impressed with the design and
quality, and I will recommend it to all my friends. .......

and the tool is very good. The air restrictors work perfectly,

This service is second to none. I have also already used the Carbtune

my Honda ST1100. I had suspected that all was not well with the

as the tickover was lumpy and hunted somewhat. I found that one carb

that. I have already used the 'kit' on my 05 Yamaha Fazer Thousand.
Although
this bike has only covered 1,270 miles the carbs were a little out of
synch;
well within the prescribed 2cmHg, but you can always improve on that. I
had
already increased the idle mixture screw settings from one full turn
out
from full in, to one and a half turns out (Yamaha owners club
recommendation).
With the Carbtune II fine balancing of the throttles was simplicity
itself
and much more accurate than the vacuum gauges that I used to employ for
this
job. The 90 degree driver worked very well, I had used a Wurth 90
degree
driver before but this has a much bulkier bevel gear housing making
access
to the carbs difficult, your device is excellent for access because it
is
so much slimmer and the feel
is very good. ....

Well, to say I'm impressed with your response would be an
understatement for sure !!
Following your diagram - the larger one, it is now clear to me that,
going from the one in my workshop manual, it actually showed the wrong
screw marked as the blanking screw - hence my error.
As soon as I got your email etc, I went out and checked and, sure
enough, I found the screw, tried your adaptor and it fitted fine !!

Hello, I could no longer wait for the weather to break I have been
going nutz waiting to use my new toy lol. Anyhow I have to tell you I
am very impressed with your Carbtune2. After set-up it took only a mere
10 mins to sync all 4 carbs on my 04' V-max. Out of the 4 carbs I had
one that was way off but with your tool it came right inline with the
other 3 with a few small adjustments. I will be testing the setup today
I took it for a short test run after initial settting but I had trouble
testing because the road was wet. Every time I nailed the throttle the
bike broke the rear tire loose.
I will surley be ordering your spark plug kit to set the air fuel
mixture as soon as I get a few dollars put toghther for it. With the
large hurricane that has just tore up the Gulf coast over here gasoline
is setting all time record highs. So I will be using my V- max alot in
the comming months as long
as I can anyway. The snow will be flying over here in about 2 months.

Hi Carbtune,
Just used the carbtune for the first time and would
like to say what a great piece of kit it is.
I am a ex-mechanic of many years and all the garages i
worked in used dials with needles bouncing around all
over the place and used clamps on the hoses trying to
get some damping, i would spend an hour trying to get
a good reading before even attempting to balance the
carbs.
My own set of vacuum dials recently got flattened when
someone drove over them which is why i bought a
carbtune and frankly it's the best thing that could
have happened to them!
I have just used the carbtune on my Yamaha FZX750
(import to the UK) which is tuned with FZR1000 carbs
fitted, as i had rebuilt the carbs when i first hooked
up the carbtune they were all over the place but in
five minutes (and i mean five minutes!) they were
balanced and i had a perfect tickover, pickup and
shutdown.
The clutch had also stopped rattling on tickover, a
common problem on multi-cylinder, multi-carb engines
because the cylinders are fighting against each other
when the carbs are not balanced and cause the clutch
drive gears to rattle.
Balancing carbs has gone from being a hated awkward
job to a pleasure.

Sean,
Just a quick note to let you know how pleased I am with the
Carbtune. I have a 1995 Kawasaki Concours and a 1974 Kawasaki
Z1. First the Concours. I always thought that the "Connie"
ran great; however, it always had this annoying habit of surging at low
speeds/RPM as when moving in slow traffic. After synchronizing
the carbs using the Carbtune I can now cruise along in sixth gear at 30
MPH and it's as smooth as silk. Amazing difference! I then
synced the carbs on my buddies Connie and he experienced the same
results.
He was amazed how much it smoothed out his bike. Next the
Z1.
I have owned my "Z" since 1976 and have only put about 35K miles on
it.
It always ran good and I kept the carbs in tune using an old mercury
filled
manometer. This spring I pulled the "Z" out of winter storage and
it
wasn't running so good so I tried to sync the carbs using the mercury
filled
manometer. It was running so poorly that it drank the mercury
right
out of the tubes. That’s when I started looking on the internet
for
a better tool and found the Carbtune. After syncing the "Z's"
carbs
with the Carbtune I experienced the same results as with the
"Connie."
It hasn't run this well in years. If you ever need an endorsement
I
would be more than happy to tell my story to anyone.

Hi Mr Morgan,
I ordered a Carbtune via the telephone to balance the throttle bodies
on my Moto Guzzi V11 Sport.
As soon as I connected and used the balancer I had complete faith in
the accuracy of the guages - I could tell the product had been
carefully designed and engineered properly.
After a little time familiarising myself with the throttle stops on the
bike I was able to achieve an excellent balance and correct idle speed.
I will certainly endorse Carbtune with my biking friends.

I received my order today and was very pleased, it was just as
advertised.
Thought you might enjoy knowing why I have been hoping it would get
here quick.My next door neighbor has a small grandson and has him over
once or twice a weekWell on his last visit he had a toy tool set with
him and came in to his Grandma and proudlytold her he had tightened up
all the loose screws on my motorcycle for me. She alerted me and I
checked it out and found all of my carb screws tightened down all the
way. It is spring here in Atlanta and it would take forever to get it
in the shop, so I ordered your carbtune 2It had my VMax back in top
shape in about 20 minutes. I am very pleased and
feel it is well worth the money paid. I keep a close eye on her
grandson now
so he doesn't do me any more favors.

I have just received my Carbtune here in Australia. Thanks for your
help in this purchase. It will be very interesting to compare the
Morgan against the Sxzxki supplied balancer. Suzuki one cost $500 needs
to be calibrated before every use and is sh*t. The Morgan one turned
out to cost $162AUS
and is very good.

Hey ! I Wrote yesterday questioning just how to connect up

received Carbtune kit. Well, went back to an old site I
have used at:

(with pics) just how
to connect up the vaccum gauges and balance the carbs on my bike
(the
Honda CX 500). (He should have used the Carbtune
though). Thought maybe
you might share this with your customers. It took me longer
to remove the
tank and seat than it did to actually balance the carbs. I
might add that
it would have been even faster if I had purchased the carbtool
too. The
carbs weren't that far out of adjustment, but the Carbtune kit
brought
them right into balance.

dear Sean, the carbtune was on the table when i got home from work this
aft', after five minutes thought and ten minutes making some
suitable
adaptors to attatch said apparatus to the balance pipe stubs on
the inlet
tracts of 'the beast' (hybrid pre-unit t140 750 in a triton) we
were up and
running! I have to say that after some twenty three years of
tinkering with
this bike I thought the carb balance was not too bad,
wrong! First
indications were , interesting. so with a bit of

Dear Sean,
this is just to confirm delivery of my Carbtune II and tool pouch, they
arrived safely on Friday 15th, less than 48 hours after I ordered them!
I can also confirm that they work perfectly, as soon as they were out
of the bag and prepared they were in operation on my old air cooled
four. I'd pre-read the
instructions from the link you sent and I already had a better
than fair idea.
I can't believe I've put off buying a set for so long, I only have to
use it three or four times and it will have paid for itself completely!
If a local dealer charges £45 per hour labour and in fairness
says the balancing took half an hour (I did it in 15mins - first
attempt!) you can see where
my maths is coming from. This doesn't take into account the
convenience and satisfaction of doing it yourself. Any simpler
and it would be getting sponsorship from Lego!

I ordered a Carbtune-II earlier in the summer and had it shipped to a
friend in the US. About one month ago I retrieved it while on a trip
through the eastern states and looked forward to using the tool upon my
return home to Toronto. And not
a moment too soon. On the 2500+ km trip my '86 Kawasaki Concours
(GTR1000 in Yurp) had been running so-so (down on power)
and was in need of a tuneup.
Which started with a carb sync. After assembling the tool (excellent
instructions, by the way) and prepping the bike I was able to sync the
carbs in less than 10 minutes and
far more accurately than with my old, homemade, vac gauge
set-up. What impressed me was the steadiness of the readings
in each column; there was little if no flutter. The improvement
in performance was immediately noticeable and far better
than after using my old synchronizer.
In addition to my homemade setup I have used a dealers custom gauges
and a tool similar to yours using mercury-filled columns. The Carbtune
is by far the most accurate and easiest to set up and use. I endorse
your product and highly recommend it.

ever doing this before on any bike, I found the process on
a 4 cylinder Goldwing to be extremely easy and using the Carbtune
II, I had the entire process done in less than half an hour.
The guage 'shafts' were way off to each other when I first
started but soon had them all dead on to each other. And the
difference has been dramatic. Although I was happy with the
way the bike ran before (with the minor exception of a tiny
hesitation), I was surprised at the extra power and smooth feeling I
felt when I took it on a 200 mile ride the next day. I also have a
Kawasaki 1997 KZ1000 Police bike (4 cylinder) which will also get the
process done as soon as I'm able.

Hi, John
The Carbtune has proven invaluable on my bike ('79GS750E), a CB650, and
a '81 GS750L. All but my bike have the CV type carbs. The Carbtool has
been a real boon for the 750L and, to some degree, the CB650. I haven't
really needed it on
my bike because the screws are right out htere in the open.
All the bikes have been running smoother and more reliably
since the carb synch. I'm anxious to try it out on other
bikes as well. On the VM type Mikuni carbs (Suzuki GS series up to but
not including 1980) the top of the carb has to come off so the
adjustment can be made. This removal does not affect the vacuum level
at the Carbtune, and the synch goes smoothly
while the engine is running...........................

Sorry it has taken me a while to answer your mail. The carbtune was
delived on the 17th of June which makes it next day delivery. That is
really good given that the Royal Mail in Cardiff
is shall we say often a little tardy with deliveries.
May I say what a brilliant piece of test kit the Carbtune II is. I have
used all sorts of carb gauges before ( including the original carbtune
many moons ago and home made gaugues using plasting tubing and water)
and the CarbtuneII has to have been the easiest. No flicking needle, no
worrying about toxic mercury getting into places and no water getting
sucked into the engine ( don't ask!).
I used the gauges for the first time last night on my old Guzzi Spada
and had the carbs balanced withing 15 minutes. I had used a set of
borrowed dial gauges before and the needle flicked around so badly it
was almost impossible to tell
what was ppening. In fact it was so bad with dials that I
restorted to using the technique of listening to when the
slides hit the stops to get initial sync then checking the
pressure at the ends of the silencers. In all a long labourious
pain in the neck. So using the Carbtune was a sheer delight,
and it showed me just how bad my manual attempts had been.

some research prior to buying my new Carbtuner
II and wanted a tool that did not have Mercury as I have
2 year old at home and didn't want him to be in danger. After

I must say that I was nervous wrenching into my motor and doing the
famed "Synching of the Carbs", but after reading on your website the

$200.00 for my mechanic to do it! Is it hard - No way. Even

I writing this e mail to let you know that I received my Carbtune II
and pouch today being June, 14 2004. I received within your 8 working
day prediction for delivery. Not to mention
that June, 11 2004 was an unexpected "holiday" for the US
Postal Service due to the passing of our former President Regan.
I'd like to say and tell any future customers that the pouch is a geat
addition that keeps everything safe and orgainized and that the
Carbtune II is fairly compact with easy to understand instructions. For
anybody looking for a reasonably priced
set of vacuum guages I recommend these. Yes, mercury guages
are less expensive initially, but have many drawbacks. These
include mercury separation, contamination, possible leakage/
spillage all of which cause inaccurate readings plus having
to buy more mercury. This not to mention the possibility of
having mercury drawn into the engine. Mercury is also a hazard to
humans if not handled carefully and disposal is next to impossible.
Since mercury is an enviromental threat it has to be disposed
of in accordance with state and local laws. Is all of the
above worth saving a few dollars? Electronic guages are very
expensive and simply aren't cost effective for the average
owner to have, costing as much as 5 times more in some cases.
Anyway I'd like to say thank you for making a tool that
is accurate, reliable reasonably priced. I will certainly
recommend this tool to fellow riders.

I spoke too soon with the email. The package arrived shortly after i
sent it. I have to tell you, your carbtune is by
far the best carb synchronization tool i have ever used.
I dont know how i got along without it all these years. I
have been using the mercury tuners and i have never had such
a precise measurement of carb vaccuum as your product enables.
the mercury tuners flutter MUCH more than your product. As
a matter of fact the carbtune was steady as could be on all
but 1 cylinder, and that one had very minimal flutter.my 2001 zx7r is
smooth as silk now. i installed the factory jet kit, factory +4
ignition advancer and got rid of the EGR crap and vaccuum hoses and put
bolts into the holes where the vacuum plugs
were (after i balanced with the carbtune 2) the bike is smooth,
crisp and has great throttle response. I just dont understand
why your product isnt more well known in the states. if i
hadnt been browsing the M&P website I would never even
heard of your great product. I think you need to advertise
more in the american motorcycle magazines, I hate to think
that so many people are missing out on the carbtune2 and hastling
with messy, unreliable mercury tuners. you have a customer for life and

Greetings John,
I received my Carbtune II last week and took plenty of time reading the
manual and constructing the dampers. Once I felt confident I had
everything ready on the Carbtune, I pulled out my shop manual and read
the section on synchronizing
the carburators. It seemed simple enough. Well, the first
time took me about 20 minutes to complete the process. Then
I read in the manual that adjusting the carburators should
be done after other things had been completed, i.e., changing
spark plugs, cleaning or changing the air filter (my bike
has a K&N reuseable filter), etc. So, I put new NGK Iridium
spark plugs and cleaned the air filter. I re-connected the Carbtune II
and went through the adjustments again, only taking about 15 minutes
this time. I took my bike out for a spin and I could instantly tell the
difference. I rode about 100 miles
and checked and adjusted the carburator balance one more time.
This time was in less than 10 minutes. Thanks so much for
a wonderful and easy to use device. I am telling all my fellow
bikers about it.

Sorry for the slow reply. I received my Carbtune and tool pouch about
three weeks ago. I used it for the first time
last week to check the carbs on my Kawasaki Z1000, which I
had just rebuilt. The Carbtune was easy to use, and I got
a clear and accurate reading straight away. It's actually
the first time I've used a vacuum guauge, but I found it really
easy to follow the instructions, and use the tool.

Hi, just letting you know I received the the package on
the 13th and it arrived in great shape. Just opened this
morning (14th) and within one hour I had the carbs (all four
of them) on my 81 honda goldwing GL1100 purring like a kitten.
Let me tell you it's a wonder it was even running at all.
For my first time ever doing this the tuner made it a no-brainer. It
idles smoothly and has alot more throttle response. I'll be ordering
the adjusting tool soon (should cut my time in half, a wrench and
screwdriver are a pain in the you know
what to use when doing this). Thanks again for a very finely crafted

I received the package tuesday April the sixth.
I already used it by synchronising my Honda CBX 6 cilinder with 6
carbs.
It is a piece of cake, even the first time ever synchronising carbs. I
was able to synchronise it even before the engine became too hot (it is
air cooled, and I have no suitable
fan), and managed it within one hour total. ............

Hi John
Used the Carbtune for the first time the other day, and
works brilliantly on my ZXR750. Kawasaki made the job even
easier by providing connection nipples on each of the inlet
tracts making hook up a breeze. I didn't even have to disconnect
or relocate the fuel tank, just unbolt it and move it back
to gain access to the top of the carb's. .....Anyway, thanks
again for a great tool

Hello John,
Just letting you know that the kit (Carbtune II) arrived here within
eight days of placing the order. I must say that the ease with which
the kit was assembled and the end result from tuning the bike
(GSXR1100L) was well worth the wait, smooth
and no flat spots; I had been experiencing a flat spot between
2,700 to 3,200 RPM. The kit made tuning the bike a pleasure
- so quick and easy my coffee didn't even get cold. One final
point, it's a pity more companies don't produce operating manuals like
the one you provided - well written with clear directions.

The manometer arrived today, in inland Queensland, 4 business days, and
6 overall. This is very quick. I was delighted
when i opened the box... it is a very elegant looking unit,

Just to let you know that I received my carbtune & carbtool on
Monday Feb 2nd in New Zealand, so total turn-around from
ordering was basically 7 days. Excellent.
Synched the carbs on my cb750f Monday night - it worked
really well, couldn't have been easier.
Also, the carb-tool ended up being invaluable. I realise now I probably
couldn't have successfully done the mechanical adjustment
with anything that I actually had on my work bench.

Further to my e-mail of last week. I just wanted to give you some
feedback.
Turned out the postage only took 5 days which is quicker than most of
the
stuff I order in Australia. Carbtune was is perfect condition when it
arrived. I must comment on the build quality as I was astounded (as was
my
father) at the high quality and time taken in design for the tool that
only
costs $AUS130. The first bike I tackled was my 1998 Suzuki GSXR-750
(first
of the fuel injection). ....................... Synced the throttle
bodies in all of about 3 minutes. Took it for a
ride and it had that newly serviced smoothness to the power
delvery. Observing was my neighbour with an 2003 Kwaka ZX-636R.
So up went the tank on his bike. His throttle bodies had the
same connectors as the Suzuki units so once again we
had to use zip ties. Anyway the Kwakas has a throttle body setup where
only
the pairs can be adjusted so I adjusted those in about 2 minutes and
then he
was off for a test ride. He was very happy with what he
felt and the bike
response.
Well I'd just like to say I'm extremely happy with the tool and delivery
service and it works great. .................
